I don’t know. Pretty much every girl I’ve been with really liked being referred to by ‘girl’ much more than ‘woman’. Maybe because ‘girl’ is associated with youth and cuteness whereas ‘woman’ can feel aging. In my experience, women typically prefer to feel ‘small’ or somehow physically inferior.
Now this could all be a product of patriarchal society and I’m not saying it’s justified. I also would not apply this to a professional environment. But in the specific context of an intimate relationship, I can understand why women tend to prefer ‘girl’ (again, in my experience). My guess is that this preference bleeds into other areas of life outside of relationships, which is why the term shows up in the examples you cited.
